    Info About SPEDexams.com

    by Paul Bowers -

If you are reading this you have likely decided to become PPD-Certified through SPED by completing and passing one of the four exams listed at this website.

Many will arrive here after taking SPED piping design courses and some will have decided to challenge an exam based on their confidence in their current knowledge level and experience.

Most of the PPD level exams at this site allow exam practice sessions (quizzes) prior to writing the actual exam itself. This enables you to familiarize yourself with the presentation of the exams and how they work. Once you have reached the maximum amount of exam practice sessions (three attempts) the actual exam itself will be invoked by the software (in other words, do not try any Exam Practice Quizzes more than three times).

You may also skip the exam practices and proceed straight to your SPED level's final exam if you wish. When you are prepared to take the final exam contact SPED for access to the appropriate area of the website and to arrange for a local proctor.

    How to Use this Site

First of all, you must be enrolled in one or more PPD exams or a PPD example exam by a SPED administrator. SPED does not offer exam self-enrollment at this time. Contact SPED to arrange for this and you will receive login details for an account at this site. There is a fee associated with actual exam enrollment, but sample exams are free.

Once you are logged-in, you will see whichever exam(s) you are eligible to take. You will have a 13 week period to perform practice quizzes and complete the actual exam itself. Three practice quizzes are permitted prior to you having to write the actual exam.

Each exam is comprised of at least 100 questions of different formats. It can take up to three hours to complete each exam. Exams must be taken at a local library, workplace or educational institution. A proctor is required and proctors' fees are to be paid by the student. This is not an open-book exam.

SPED PPD Level I: Five-part exam of at least 100 questions in total

SPED PPD Level 2: Five-part exam of at least 100 questions in total

SPED PPD Level 3: Five-part exam of at least 100 questions in total

SPED PPD Level 4: One-part exam of at least 100 questions in total

You will be presented with your exam results at completion of the exam and a SPED administrator will contact you within one week with further information regarding your PPD status achievement (assuming you pass the exam). The pass mark is 70%.

    Good luck.
